After being aired last year during the lockdown, Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan is returning on television screens once again! Dipika Chikhlia, who played Sita in the popular series, is quite excited
Last year, after the lockdown was imposed in the nation, the old mythological series Ramayan and Mahabharat had aired on Doordarshan, providing a respite for people amid challenging times. The re-telecast was a huge hit, and now, there’s great news for all those who have been wanting to watch it once again. Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan is returning on television screens once again! The popular series stars Arun Govil as Ram, Dipika Chikhlia as Sita, and Dara Singh as Hanuman.
Dipika Chikhlia aka Sita, was excited to share the news about the re-telecast of Ramayan once again. She took to her Instagram and shared a major throwback picture of her as Sita. She wrote that this show has been a huge part of her life. “So excited to share that Ramayan will be airing on the small screens again this year! Ramayan aired during the lockdown last year and looks like history is repeating itself. The show has been a huge part of not just my life, but thousands of Indian families for years. Come be a part of our community and share the knowledge of the Ramayan with generations to come. Tune in to Star Bharat every day at 7pm to watch Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayan',” read Dipika’s caption.
Needless to say, fans of the show were super-excited too! While one fan wrote, “Now its paawriii for all dipians..,” another fan commented, “Yipee we are super excited for this maa it is a previlege for us to see Ramayan again we are blessed maa.”
Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan has a total of 78 episodes, and it was originally broadcast from January 25, 1987 to July 31, 1988.
